It’s Not What You Do - It’s Where You Are When You Do It!

And if “where you are” is “right here”, that makes all the difference in the world!

We often try to do things that are significant, important, and that help us get into “the Zone”. Things like the arts, sports, sex, deep conversations...

But a lot of our time is spent on what seems to be mundane things: doing laundry, changing clothes, checking the mail, driving, etc. It’s easy, and often, a habit, to get lost in thought while doing these kinds of things: “zoning out”, rather than being in “the Zone”!

If we remember that our #1 priority, our vow, is to “be here now”, these so-called mundane activities become vital happenings, because they are more practice of our vow! And when we are really “here” when we do things like brush our teeth, eat, wash clothes, etc., we get to experience the life, the beauty, of even these kinds of things!

The point becomes - we’re not doing significant things some of the time, and mundane things other times. We are practicing being here, all the time! And when we do that, we are living life fully, and are open to really seeing the answers to our big questions about life!
