Purposes:

to learn what mindfulness is and what its benefits are

to learn how to practice mindfulness, in and away from daily life

to address challenges to practice (e.g., busyness; difficult situations, thoughts, emotions) and misconceptions about mindfulness

to become open to insights about life that come when we are living in mindfulness

to build habits of practice, so mindfulness becomes our default way of being, our way of life
